There is a big “Glow in the Streets” block party at Noe and Market on Saturday, October 26, 2019 (admission is $10 donation) – but the highlight of the night is completely free and you don’t have to be inside the block party to watch it.
The evening’s finale will be a spectacular GayGlo Guerrilla Theater blacklight performance called “Journey to Earth” from the windows of a Victorian above the party (on Noe in between Market and Beaver) led by original organizers Chickpea (Brian Busta), Jason Smart, Alex Robinson and DJ TomCat, plus supporting staff – you don’t want to miss it.
GayGlo Guerrilla Theater Blacklight Performance
- The performance takes place sometime between 4pm and 9:30pm – the exact time has not been announced, but likely after it becomes dark so our guess is sometime between 8pm and 9:30pm
- The performance is short – just a fun DIY bodypaint/blacklight performances from the windows in a victorian up above the party
- The best viewing area is from inside the block party, but that’s $10. There are still plenty of places around the block party you can squeeze in and watch the performance for free, but it can get crowded.
