Get ready for an unforgettable holiday experience at Joy to the City, a celebration brought to you by Assemblymember Matt Haney in collaboration with Code Tenderloin!
A FREE fun-filled and festive event dedicated to celebrating the winter holidays with our diverse community.
Joy to the City – A Winter Wonderland Extravaganza
December 17th, 2023 | 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Location: Chase Center + Thrive City (1725 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94158)
FREE – RSVPRain or Shine – UPDATE – performance stage and toy drive moved indoors to Chase Center due to rain.
Event Highlights:
– Live performances from Bay Area legends P-Lo and Goapele! And special performances from Alphabet Rockers, Glide Ensemble, GTC Band, West Bay Center SF moms, and more!
– Toy and book giveaways with support from the San Francisco Public Library
– Free ice skating and family photos
– Local food vendors

WE ARE MOVING TO A RAIN PLAN WHERE WE HAVE OUR STAGE AND TOY DRIVE INSIDE CHASE CENTER.
Please note that we will allow purses and diaper bags inside for this event, however, they will be subject to an x-ray screen similar to an airport. Guests will be able to enjoy food and hot cocoa outside on Thrive City. No other outside Food and beverage is allowed inside Chase Center.
We encourage all guests to arrive early and travel light, as you are subject to search prior to entry. The following items are prohibited inside Chase Center:
- Weapons and dangerous devices of any kind including, but not limited to, pepper spray/mace, flares and fireworks, tasers/stun guns
- Bottles or cans
- Backpacks and hard-sided bags of any kind
- All bags, including briefcases, purses, luggage and diaper bags, larger than 14”L x 14”H x 6”W
- Outside food/beverage (baby food permitted), alcohol, cans, bottles, flasks, coolers, drugs, illegal substances
- Non-surgical masks will not be allowed; guests must be easily identifiable. Limited face paint will be accepted.
- Refillable water bottles
- Pamphlets, product samples
- Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, helmets, chairs
- iPads or other similar electronic devices (with the exception of Warriors games)
- 2-way radios
- Cameras: no flash/professional photography, tripods or monopods, or selfie sticks. No lenses over 3” in length.
- Audio/visual recording devices (i.e. GoPro, Google Glass, Spectacles, etc.)
- Drones
- Signs/flags/banners/posters: may not exceed 11”x17” in size or attached to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic or any other hard material.
- Frisbees and beach balls
- Laser pointers
- Metal objects (i.e. license plates)
- Any noise making devices (i.e. air horns, cow bells, whistles, drums, plastic horns, etc.)
- Any other items deemed unacceptable by Arena Management
Rideshare Information:
- Enter “Terry A Francois Blvd & 16th St” as the destination in the rideshare app and the address will populate.
- Drop off on the corner of 16th Street & Terry A Francois Blvd, near the Five Olafur Eliasson Seeing Spheres art piece.
