“The Times of Harvey Milk” Birthday Screening
Monday, May 22, 2017 | Noon
Castro Theatre, 429 Castro St, San Francisco
FREE (daytime screening, no RSVP needed)

The daytime program focuses on youth and senior engagement, recognizing individual roles as well as how they work as a united front in the activism on LGBTQ issues.

This program will include a casual reception with cohosts, Openhouse and Lyric, and a screening of the documentary. Doors open at noon with the film at 1 pm. This event is open to the public and free for students and seniors.

For the evening program, (paid event) they have special guests from Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project and several short films they have curated for the event. QWOCMAP builds power through films that authentically reflect the lives of queer women of color, gender nonconforming and transgender people of color, and address the vital, intersecting social justice issues that concern the multiple communities.

They’ll be showing selected shorts before the evening screening. The MC for this night is 2017 SF Pride Grand Marshal and one of their favorite Drag Kings, Alex U. Inn. VIP reception begins at 6 pm, with the program and film screenings at 7 pm.
