Event Details

In celebration of World Landscape Architecture Month, ASLA Northern California Chapter is thrilled to partner with the Museum of Craft and Design and landscape architects, Elizabeth Boults and Chip Sullivan, the authors of Wisdom of Place, for a magical journey in search of the genius loci—the spirit of place.

Join us as we explore the Dogpatch neighborhood through drawing, field sketching, and collaging. Wander through several urban parks and discover the creative forces and hidden rhythms of nature woven into the vibrant fabric of the city.

Our journey begins at the Museum of Craft and Design. As the event concludes, participants will have the opportunity to share their sketches and reflections, bringing their creative experiences to life.

The first 20 people to arrive will receive a FREE sketchbook, generously donated by BLICK Art Materials. Some materials will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and drawing/writing tools.

This event is FREE and open to all, whether you’re a designer, artist, student, or simply curious.
