Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
Sat. April 27 • Tequila Tasting, special cocktails, and Mexican small plates with Joanne Weir! 4-5 p.m. $5 at the door
Join author and PBS television legend Joanne Weir for a tasting of artisinal tequilas; she’ll speak on the subject as she and general manager Brian Basmajian mix up some tasty drinks for us. Weir is the author of Tequila: A Guide to Types, Flights, Cocktails and Bites.
