Please note, we believe the Piedmont Avenue Stroll is no longer taking place. 

At the Piedmont Avenue Stroll you can expect to see a variety of art mediums, enjoy entertainment, and sample refreshments with many businesses showcasing hand-picked local artists and designers.

The monthly event was voted Best Art Walk That’s Not Art Murmur by the East Bay Express, so come out to see what the fuss is all about. Admission and parking are free, and plentiful throughout the area after 6 pm.

Every month features a slew of art openings, musical performances and other special treats. Check out their Facebook page to plan your night.

On the night of the event, pick up a map at participating businesses. Collect a stamp from ten participating businesses and be eligible to win raffle prizes — including gift certificates and fun merchandise.

Check out August’s free musical performances by Damond Moodie and Capoeira Mandinga. They will be performing next Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm.

Performing at Piedmont Plaza: Damond Moodie
Moodie is armed with a funky percussive acoustic guitar and a clear, big sky voice over the urban cityscape, with his intention to sing his story to you. He was brought up on a balanced diet of Motown Soul, 80’s pop music, and 90’s alternative rock. He cut his teeth singing in a funky but rockin’ original band out of the Cleveland/Northern Ohio music scene. He decided to get out and see the country – about 30 states worth – playing open mics, cafes, and backyards. His new record Wrestling With Giants uses the acoustic guitar and voice as canvas and brush to paint a detailed view of today.

Performing at Key Route Plaza: Capoeira Mandinga
Capoeira Mandinga and Brazil Cultural Center is a non-profit organization committed to teaching and spreading Capoeira and Brazilian Culture in the Bay Area and country wide. Their classes involves both traditional and modern Capoeira and Brazilian related dances to students from crawling age up into their 70’s
