Greenpeace “Rainbow Warrior” Ship | Pier 15
Come aboard Greenpeace’s iconic sailing ship, the Rainbow Warrior, docked at San Francisco’s Pier 15 for a week of tours and events from November 8-17, 2013.
During its stay the ship will host a number events including a free indie concert, free weekend tours of the 190ft eco-ship, and a ‘floating art gallery’ day.
This beautiful 190ft vessel is the newest generation of Greenpeace’s historic fleet and includes some of the most environmentally-friendly sailing technology available.
Greenpeace’s ships have a long history of making headlines, from the bombing of the original Rainbow Warrior in 1985, to last month’s seizure of the Arctic Sunrise in Russia.
Get a rare look behind the scenes at how the ship works and how it’s helping protect oceans, forests, communities and climate.
Tours take place from 10 am to 5 pm on Sundays and Saturdays, November 9-10 and 16-17, 2013. Photo ID is required to get on board.
Sunday morning tours will include family friendly activities until noon. Please be prepared for uneven surfaces and some steep stairs.
