Ok, so it’s already the weekend and you’ve got NOTHING planned for Valentine’s Day and worse yet you’ve got no money?

Here’s our choices for our five favorite free Valentine’s Day (or Valentine’s themed) events for 2010. We here at FuncheapSF wish you the best of luck getting into whomever’s pants you dream about and hope you are able to keep your wallet in your pocket for most of the night.

The day before Valentine’s Day is “Saturday My Love: A Day of Fragrance, Fashion, Cupcakes and Cocktails”  at the Candystore Collective in the Mission District. This free event features a lingerie trunk show, a cupcake food cart from Mission minis and cocktails. You can also sign up for a fragrance workshop to learn basic perfume design and how to make your perfect aroma (RSVP recommended for workshops. Workshops are free, but donations are accepted)

If you really love San Francisco and its parks (like our favorite, Dolores Park) Come to this city-sponsored event and write a “love letter” to your favorite park at the event or online, and enjoy the free food, crafts, give-aways and find love at “NPC’s Park Dating Game”

Pop-Up Wedding at W Hotel | SF

Sunday, February 14 , 4:00 pm   | Cost: FREE with RSVP | W Hotel – San Francisco
In honor of Valentine’s attend an upscale Vegas-inspired pop-up chapel complete with altar, free-flowing champagne, photographer and naughty party favors, where spontaneously love-struck couples can take part in anything from a vow renewal to a legally-binding marriage. You can either get married, or simply just enjoy the ceremonies as a voyeur.

Pillow Fight 2010 | SF

Sunday, February 14 , 6:00 pm | Cost: FREE | Justin Herman Plaza
Feathers will fly at this fun, flash-mob type event which takes place each Valentine’s Day just as the Ferry Building clock tower strikes 6pm. Nearly 1,000 San Franciscans descend on Justin Herman Plaza with feather-stuffed pillows to run Braveheart-like at full speed at one another to lovingly beat the crap out of each other until the whistle blows.

Love Everywhere | SF

Sunday, February 14 , 9am & 11am  | Cost: FREE | Glide Memorial Church – Tenderloin
Enjoy a new large-scale site-specific dance performance with over 60 dancers and performed live by a 15 piece chamber orchestra to celebrate the one-year anniversary of same-sex weddings which took place last year. Event also takes place Friday February 12th at Noon at SF City Hall.
