This is their eleventh Waterways event. It falls on New Year’s Eve. Their intention will be to bring your year to a peaceful closing. No two sessions are ever the same. Each stands on its own, featuring different music and different energy. There will be no information about the music that will be played before the event, but a tracklist will be released afterward.
What to expect: at 7:30pm you will be taken on a journey. Music will span genres, and sounds from various aspects of waking life will be mixed in regularly – in fact, between each song. This will create space for you to experience each song as it’s own piece of narrative, without the narratives colliding. It’s probably best to close your eyes through the experience. They’ll have rugs out, but bring some blankets too.
Be prepared to exercise mindfullness. No talking. Whisper in ears if communication is absolutely necessary.
Doors open at 7:00- starts at 7:30- ends around 9-9:30- Be quiet, mindful- BYOB if you like, but don’t get sloppy
You will be listening to music on a high fidelity soundsystem composed of:
- 2x Zu-Audio Soul Superfly Mk. 1-B speakers
- Elekit TU-879S tube amplifier
- Rane Sixty Two mixer
- 2x Technics SL-1200 Mk 5 / M3D turntables
An RSVP is required.
