The Naturist Society started in the 1980’s with the goals of body positivity and enjoying our place in Nature. Those early efforts have blossomed and borne many fruits; today there are many nude beaches and hot springs and hiking trails available for us. We love the feeling of warm water over our whole body, the sunshine from head to toe, and the community of like-minded people respectful of Mother Nature and of each other. West Coast Naturist Gathering (WNG) 2026 is being held at Lupin Lodge, one of the premier naturist-friendly sites in the country, from August 13-16. Come find yourself in the naturist world that awaits you. You’ll be very glad you did!
Naturism espouses a peaceful and fulfilling philosophy:
- Body acceptance: Natural, non-judgmental social nudity allows us to see our bodies as wonderful gifts, not inadequate or “ugly”
- Naturists see each other on equal terms, creating a culture of acceptance and appreciation.
- Naturist communities often emphasize outdoor activities and wellness routines.
- Community and inclusiveness: People tend to talk openly, and newcomers are welcomed with clear norms.
The Gathering boasts a program of well-known speakers and facilitators every day. You’ll learn about cool vacation ideas, the History of Naturism, Naturist-friendly events such as the Bay-to-Breakers, World-Naked Bike Ride (with tens of thousands of participants), local nude beaches and much more. Enjoy a new Naturist Movie presented by the director, a campfire sing-along, an Open Mike, and much, much more. You’ve never seen a variety show until you’ve seen a Naturist variety show.
