Winter Celebration in the Redwoods (South Bay)

Portola Redwoods State Park is about 20 miles south of Palo Alto and about an hour from many locations in the Bay Area.  It features old-growth redwoods that were not impacted by the recent fires.  This time of year enjoy rushing creeks and waterfalls.  The park is open every day, but on Sunday February 12, the Portola and Castle Rock Foundation will be hosting a Winter Day in the Redwoods Celebration featuring warm beverages, hikes and other activity to get people to see the beauty of this park.

There is a $10/vehicle day use fee and please note that there is no reliable cell phone coverage once inside the canyon so plan your route while you still have service
