June 30, 2014 marks the 150th anniversary of the Yosemite Grant in which President Lincoln dedicated the Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove “for public use, resort, and recreation . . . inalienable for all time.”

Celebrate the creation and preservation of the Yosemite National Park with a free day full of activities at the California Historical Society. Enjoy free admission to the exhibition “Yosemite: A Storied Landscape” with spotlight docent tours, crafts and family activities, and screenings of Ken Burns’ documentary “Yosemite: A Gathering of Spirit.”
