FREE at Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park

Saturday, May 17
9:00 amto12:00 pm

This is your last chance to see the colorful wildflower displays at Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park in 2008. The hills are turning golden, and these floral gems are quickly going to seed. But all is not lost. Join a park ranger at the Mendoza Ranch Trailhead in Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County, on Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Take a moderate 4.5-mile hike around Mummy Mountain for spectacular valley views and colorful wildflower displays. NOTE: Depending on weather/flower conditions, this hike might be moved to the Coyote Dam the day of the hike. Participants should wear hard-soled shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and long pants. They should also bring water, a snack and lunch. For more information call Ranger Crockett at 408-842-7800, or e-mail: chris.crockett@prk.sccgov.org.
