Fauxtest 2017: Ironic Fake Protest Rally & March | SF
Dolores Park | 19th Street and Dolores Street, San Francisco, CA
Join San Francisco’s fifth annual Fauxtest (pronounced foe-test), a fake protest, rally and march to demonstrate for/against Dada (fake or nonsense) news. Originally conceived as a fake protest in response to complacency and arm chair activism, Fauxtest has evolved into a response to the fake (dada) news every one faces in these times.
Embrace hypocrisy and irony, air petty annoyances and gripes, facts, truth and nontroversy by making funny signs and marching down Valencia Street. Outlandish costumes are encouraged.
Friday, February 24, 2017 | 5:45 pm
Starts at Dolores Park; march down Valencia
FREE – Bring a flashlight and your Fauxtest sign
Upset over the ban on nudity? Want to one-up the Westboro Baptist Church? Make a funny sign, bring your loud voice (and a flashlight) and join the Fauxtest.
Please note, the start time for the march last year was at 5:45 pm. We assume it will be the same this year.
