Revelers in Alameda, Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco will be offered a potentially life saving treat this New Year’s Eve. Berg Injury Lawyers will be offering a Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home from 10 pm on Thursday, December 31, through 4 am on Friday, January 1, 2010 through Veterans Cab and Luxor Cab companies.
- Alameda, Oakland, and Berkeley (within city limits) call Veterans Cab at (800) 281-4488. Tell them Berg Injury Lawyers is picking up the tab.
- San Francisco (within city limits), call Luxor Cab at (415) 282-4141. Tell them Berg Injury Lawyers is picking up the tab.
Cab rides are made available to area residents who otherwise might attempt to drive home after drinking. Rides are provided from bars & restaurants (not from house parties) to an individual’s residence and not to other drinking locations.

are they giving rides from sf to berkeley. i am going to comedy club tonight in sf and i live in berkeley. can i get a ride home for free?
sorry holly – the cab rides are only within the city – so you can only get a free cab ride within San Francisco, or within the East Bay.
but you can take bart back home. It will be open late (until 3am). they are not operating every station however (i.e. certain east bay cities can only be accessed from Montgomery St. Station or from Embarcadero to ease overcrowding), so please check http://bart.gov/news/articles/2009/news20091207.aspx for details.
