Join the call for peace among people and peace with the Earth on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Santos Meadow.
If you’re an early riser, greet the day atop Mt. Tamalpais in a sunrise mountain top ceremony. Celebrate sunrise at 5:45 atop Mt. Tam. Arrive by 5:15 at peak parking lot (20-min. climb to top). Bring $8 cash to park and flashlight. Or new for 2019, join in the new ‘Morning Ritual’ at Muir Beach – arrive by 8 am.
Enjoy food and music before the dance begins at 11 am. All ages and abilities are invited to this participatory community ritual. End the day with a ritual of renewal at a sunset fire on Muir Beach. Wood for the fire is appreciated. The 2019 theme is “For the Children.”
In 2019, the parking at Santos Meadow has been prohibited due to new park regulations. General parking is available either at Muir Beach lot or off Highway 1 at large turnout 1/4 mi north of Muir Beach Overlook. Free shuttle vans to and from Meadow will be available or you can hike beautiful Heather Cutoff Trail 1.4 miles to Meadow from the turnout (and shuttle back). Carpooling is recommended.
They’ll dance, rain or shine. Kids are especially welcome, but please no dogs. Dress in black or white, layered clothing is suggested as it can be cool. Bring your own food, beverages, a blanket and something to sit on for a picnic after the Dance. Event is free, but donations are appreciated for new costs.
