Embarcadero | 4th of July Roller Disco Party & Fireworks Viewing | 2014

Every Friday night, skaters meet D. Miles Jr., the “GodFather of Skate,” at Ferry Plaza for the wildest ride in San Francisco, and in 2014, July 4th just happens to be on Friday and the skaters will be there just in time to view the fireworks on July 4, 2014.

The San Francisco fireworks will light up the sky at 9:30 pm.

The Midnight Rollers Friday Night Skate is a 10 mile skate tour/party that starts in and ends at the Ferry Plaza and goes along a route through the city that hits all the hot spots.

Meet at the Ferry Building at about 8pm.  You’ll skate and party until 9:15 and then you’ll take off on the weekly rolling party through the City.  However you will stop at Pier 39 and take over the closed off streets and watch the fireworks.  You’ll get the public into dancing a little Cupid Shuffle here too.  Afterwards you’ll  keep the party rollin’ through the streets returning back to the Ferry Building by midnight.

They have a booming portable sound system pumping out funk, disco, and old school hits rolling along with the group as they bring the party to the streets at Pier 39.

Skates, bikes, and anything with wheels are welcome to roll along. Please bring a helmet. The pace will be casual. The price for admission is free.

Please note: We know that Friday night skate is happening, and that it falls on July 4th, so we expect the skaters to be there in full force. That said, please keep in mind that the start times and exact location may vary, so come prepared to be flexible.
