SF’s 1st Annual “Shark and Mermaid Parade” (Aquatic Park)

Join us as a mermaid, a shark or your favorite ocean creature in support of sharks and ocean health by making the ocean plastic free.

This is a plastic & to go-free event to promote reducing single use plastic and protect sharks.

• Start at Aquatic Park with a beach cleanup at 10AM.
• March to Pier 39 begins at 11 AM.

Sit down to dine at any of our fine local restaurants or bring your own picnic to the bleachers (no ziplock bags, saran wrap, fast food, or to-go cups, please).

Costume contest at 1pm: Prizes for the best + environmentally conscious Mermaid, Merman, Mer-Child, nautical Pet, & Other (all sea critters, sea Goddesses/Gods, Sea Witches, Pirates, Sailors, Fishermen are welcome)! Parade route to Pier 39, ending on the nautically themed Merry-Go-Round- Don’t forget to bring 10 sand dollars to ride. Get ready for fun!
