Game Critique

This class is a 1.5 hour lesson that teaches students how to critically assess effective video game techniques. Video game techniques can provide inspiration across domains outside of video game development, enabling students to more consciously/actively engage with digital entertainment and use prior work to hone interactive design skills.

This class is completely free. Ages K – 8th grade.

The MADE:

https://www.themade.org/

The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment is a non-profit dedicated to the preservation of our digital heritage in playable form, and to inspire the next generation of game developers. The MADE seeks to preserve video games as a historic and artistic medium.

Visitors to the MADE can play our collection of over 12,000 games, across 40 systems, for as long as they like. Rather than an arcade, the MADE is a digital library dedicated to art, history, and adventure.
