In honor of Black History Month, Peralta Hacienda presents Mexico Negro y Querido, a multimedia examination by filmmaker Abad Leyva of the cultural marriage of kidnapped Africans brought to Mexico and the indigenous people who lived in the Costa Chica area for milenia.

Afro-Indigenous culture and history spring to life through Leyva’s spirited and sincere storytelling which is complemented by regional music performed by DiaPaSon.
