The San Francisco Rose Society will present a FREE public workshop HOW TO PRUNE ROSES January 14th 2024 from 1-3pm in the Rose Garden, Golden Gate Park.
Friendly rose experts will demonstrate how to prune different types of roses to encourage health, discourage disease, and support outcomes like larger blooms and better plant shape. Complimentary cuttings will be provided with tips on how to propagate them at home.
We are excited to announce that Jennifer Thompson from the Swiss tool maker FELCO will be on hand to teach us about garden tool safety. If you bring your Felco tool, she will help you tune it up free of charge! Jennifer will also debut new technology for the Rose Garden.
This workshop is for everyone interested in roses at ANY level of experience. Come out and meet the friendly members of your modern San Francisco Rose Society- We aren’t your Nana’s garden club!
