Honoring the legacy of tennis great Arthur Ashe and his commitment to diversity and inclusion, Arthur Ashe Champions Day will bring together hundreds of youth from different backgrounds, age groups and skill levels for a free celebration of tennis, inspiring future stars. Cuesta Park tennis courts in Mountain View will host more than 30 world-class coaches to work with participants on tennis fundamentals and intermediate and advanced techniques through on-court skills and challenges. All participants will enjoy a free lunch as they watch an exhibition that will feature current collegiate tennis stars from around the Bay Area.
Arthur Ashe Champions Day is part of the Taube Tennis Series supported by Taube Philanthropies and presented by van Dillen Partners. This is the third annual series event to take place in the San Francisco Bay Area.
200+ kids ages 7 to 15 who are interested in tennis
30+ professional tennis coaches, including:
Paul Goldstein, Stanford Men’s Tennis Head Coach
Frankie Brennan, Stanford Women’s Tennis Head Coach
Players from the Stanford and Menlo College tennis teams
SCHEDULE:
Session 1
9:30am – 10am: Registration
10am – 12pm: Tennis Play – Ages 7-15 | Development Clinic for Beginner to Intermediate Skill Level
12pm – 1pm: Free lunch and College Stars Exhibition
Session 2
11:30am – 1pm: Registration, free lunch and College Stars Exhibition
1pm – 3pm: Tennis Play – Ages 7-15 | Performance Clinic for Intermediate to Advanced Skill Level
