Theme: Critters from the wild and the pets lounging in our homes can impact us (and challenge us) in the most unexpected ways. Share your story about an animal in your life, or kick back and enjoy the tales from our inspirational storytellers.
Featured Storyteller John Aubert is a Professor of Geography and Environmental Sciences at American River College. He is the December 2024 winner at the Moth, and he has been a featured storyteller for Capital Storytelling, Story Collider, RISK!, Six Feet Apart Productions and Armchair Anonymous. John currently works with Capital Storytelling as an events producer, instructor, and coach. He also hosts “Do Tell“, Capital Storytelling’s monthly open mic for true, personal stories.
The Conundrum Chronicles uses a StorySlam format that challenges storytellers to share a five-minute story about a moral dilemma they have confronted. (First-time storytellers are especially welcome!) Audience members are then invited to discuss, and score each story based on Authenticity, Entertainment, Stakes/Tension, Heart-touching, Reflection/Resolution.
