World Naked Bike Ride: 10th Anniversary
You may think this is an “only in SF” event, but it’s actually in ten cities. Hundreds of people will strip down and ride bikes throughout the city as part of the 2013 Northern Hemisphere World Naked Bike Ride and it’s the 10th anniversary of the ride in San Francisco happening on June 8, 2013.
It’s part of an anti-big oil protest, but if you just want to see some naked people on bikes, bring your cameras and don’t forget your zoom lenses.

Meet at Justin Herman Plaza
FREEBring your bikes to Justin Herman Plaza between Market Street and Embarcadero and meet on the northeast side of Vaillancourt Fountain at 10:30 am.
Bring body paints, watercolors and markers to apply slogans and designs to each other and adorn your bikes with signs. The route will take you through many popular spots in the city such as Fisherman’s Wharf, the Marina, Lombard, North Beach, along Embarcadero, the Civic Center, the Haight, past Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach.
How Naked is “Naked”? While it is a “naked” bike ride, all are welcome; it’s ride as bare as you dare (remember the anti-nudity laws that were recently passed). That is, body paint, rubber latex, bikinis, topless, lingerie, bubble pack, whatever costume you are comfortable riding with. And all types of bikes are welcome too. How about some more tandems? Unicycles. Hey, get your friends with music bikes to ride too. Skaters and skateboarders have also joined past rides.
