The Berkeley Underground Film Society (BUFS) is an all ages club for collectors, researchers, and film enthusiasts in the East Bay and San Francisco area.
Their goal is to review and share a selective film history of movies on film.
Every Sunday, they screen buried, rarely projected, or otherwise obscure 8mm, Super 8, and 16mm prints from their collection.

Why Worry? (1923) /B&W/Silent/Music | Underground Film Night: Obscure Super 8 & 16mm Movies | BerkeleyIn Why Worry?, Harold Van Pelham (Lloyd), a hypochondriac, rich businessman, sails to the tropics for his ‘health.’ Instead of the peace and seclusion he is seeking, he finds himself in the middle of a revolution. He is imprisoned where he befriends the friendly giant, Colosso (Aasen), and they engineer an escape.
This was the last film made in Lloyd’s partnership with Hal Roach. Lloyd and Roach parted on good terms, as each simply wanted to go in different directions and Harold Lloyd now had enough money to independently finance his films.
Directors: Fred C. Newmeyer, Sam Taylor
Writers: Sam Taylor (story), Ted Wilde (story)
Stars: Harold Lloyd, Jobyna Ralston, John Aasen
