BOO-etry: Spooky Poems Read by Teens | Pleasanton

There are plenty more spooky little verses like that at BOO-etry, a spoken word event hosted by Pleasanton Poet Laureate Deborah Grossman.

Scary poems will be read by teens:

• Arany Uthayakumar from Amador Valley High School
• Kelly McDeavitt from Foothill High School
• Isabel Brooks, formerly of Pleasanton, who attends Felsted School in Essex, England.
• Plus, a special reading by a guest poet.

An open mic will follow the readings during which participants may read an original poem of one page or less. Original, spooky poems are especially welcome. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but optional. Refreshments will be available during intermission.
