Chanukah Celebration with Klezmania! in Concert| Oakland

Join us to celebrate the traditions of Chanukah with a performance by jazz, acoustic, and dance music ensemble Klezmania!

Their program will comprise, some traditional sing-a-long Chanukah songs, klezmer, Yiddish folk songs, some Israeli, and some original klezmer songs, as well. Wild, fun, and very high-energy.

This event is part of the weekly Wednesday holiday music series produced by the Oakland City Center.

ABOUT THE GROUP: Founded in May 1989 in San Francisco by Ben Brussell, KLEZMANIA! is a contemporary representation of klezmer music. As the group evolved, Brussell brought in players from a variety of backgrounds and expanded the repertoire to encompass the klezmer musical experience—and beyond.
