Come see two local talents from the undergroud rap scene play a free midday show at Rasputin Records in Berkeley

J. Stalin is a rap musician from the Cypress Village housing projects in West Oakland. In 2007, he signed to Zoo Entertainment Production Company run by artist Mekanix, who described his style as a variant of Hyphy known as “Go”. He is also the Owner of Livewire Records, President of Town Thizzness ENT, which is a sub-division of the late Mac Dre’s Thizz ENT.

In the past few years Philthy Rich has really stood out on the independent rap scene in the Bay Area. Philthy Rich is one of the hardest working artists from Oakland, and releases a steady stream of material to keep the buzz going. Philthy has performed at venues on a local and national level, in front of audiences ranging from 1,000 to 30,000.
