2014 Art in Nature / The Nature of Art Festival
Sunday, September 21, 2014 | 11 am to 5 pm
Redwood Park, Oakland
FREE, but an RSVP on Facebook is appreciated
Art in Nature: The Nature of Art is an interdisciplinary, interactive, site‑specific immersion into art and nature and the beauty of creating. It invites the spontaneous artistic co‑creation of festival participants and 200+ professional artists. This participatory free festival is the closest thing to Burning Man you’ll get in the Bay Area. Bring a picnic lunch as there are no food vendors on site.
How do I get to the festival? Take the free shuttle bus from Merritt College. There is plenty of free parking and the ride is only 10 minutes. > Read more about getting to the festival
Funcheap Tip: The Funcheap crew has gone to this festival before and had a wonderful time wandering through the woods discovering strange and wonderful nature-based works of art, music performances and even learned karate as many of the activities are participatory. It’s well worth arriving early (the parking lot fills up quickly).
