Come celebrate and preview the de Young’s new iPhone app, dYinterpretations: A Journey through the de Young with Filmmaker-in-Residence Lise Swenson, which offers an inside look at the space and the place called the de Young Museum.

Live music with The Babatunde Lea Quartet, Make your own mini flipbooks inspired by art in the de Young collection and a public art project to build a huge collage that celebrates dances of the de Young collection.

About Friday Nights at the De Young
On Friday nights the entire museum is open until 8:45 p.m. Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, tours, and lectures. The cafe is open with a special Friday Nights dinner menu, and a no-host cocktail bar is serving drinks. There are art making activities for everyone. All Friday Night programming is free unless otherwise noted.
