Event Details

Are you a maker looking to up your competitive game? Have you taken classes at the TechShop or The Crucible or Fort Mason in woodworking, glass blowing, enameling, brewing, leather work, fiber arts, calligraphy, sculpting, bronze casting, bookbinding, stained glass, etc., and are now looking for a forum to enhance your skills? Then, SCA Medieval / Renaissance maker competitions are for you.

On Tuesday evening, February 24,  the San Francisco branch of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) will present the why, what, when, and how of SCA arts and sciences maker competitions. Also, why not bring samples of your own work to share?

Please Note: While you can come and gawk at other people’s creations, this event is intended for makers to learn and show their work.

The SCA, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the arts and sciences of the Medieval and Renaissance eras through workshops, displays, and events, hosts over 50 Medieval / Renaissance maker competitions every year in Northern California alone.
