The Presidio of San Francisco is a National Historic Landmark with a rich natural and cultural legacy. The site played an important role in the in the life of the nation in times of war and times of peace for two centuries and today has been transformed into a national park site unlike any other.

Take a compelling photographic journey through this contemporary urban treasure – from the Presidio’s military past through its transition from post to park and into its new chapter – with local historian/author Rebecca Schall and photographer/author Charity Vargas.
