Event Details

The shoreline is an amazing place to watch the sky. On this hike, you have the rare opportunity to watch a sunset and a moonrise. But it’s not an ordinary moon, it’s a supermoon. This is where the moon is closest in its rotation around Earth causing it to appear larger than usual. Learn why sunsets are so beautiful, why the moon always shows the same face, and how scientists think both came into existence. Ages 8+. Register online at www.haywardrec.org.
