Event Details

Here’s a free show from Going Away Party, a San Francisco two-man bluegrass act that specializes in agnostic gospel songs about reincarnation.

If it sounds kind of weird, no worries: it’s good cheery fun that’s super-catchy and danceable. It’s got a bit of parlor ballads, waltzes with sardonic lyrics, country tunes and even punk songs.

It’s just two guys, one on upright bass who sings and one on banjo. Leader Ryan Lim wrote, “I’m sure that even if you don’t like it, you won’t be able to get the image of us hacking away at our instruments out of your mind.”
