Awesöme Orchestra | Epic Free Classical Concerts
Awesöme Orchestra brings people together for musical adventures. Their free sessions are part performance, part open rehearsal. They provide the sheet music, and anyone is welcome to play or to listen.
The Awesöme Orchestra Collective is the Bay Area’s most adventurous reading orchestra, dedicated to playing excellent orchestral music of all kinds with amazing musicians in a fun, casual environment focused on high musicianship. Their events are always free, but they ask for a pay-what-you-will donation to help cover basic costs.
MoeTar and Awesöme Orchestra will both play a set of music on their own, but in between they will play together. Wha? Yes. Together.
Come see a reading of A.O. playing with M.T. on 2 brand new, never heard before MoeTar songs arranged for the band with orchestra by Tarik Ragab.
The show is during Oakland’s First Fridays, so kick your night off with them and then hit the streets, restaurants and art galleries nearby.
Free, but an RSVP is required. This show is all ages. It’s a bring your own chair or pillow event for seating.
