“Sunday Streets” SF’s Free Street Festival & Block Party (2026)

San Francisco’s 2026 season of Sunday Streets returns with four events across The City. Since 2008, Sunday Streets has transformed San Francisco’s streets into car-free community spaces, bringing neighbors together for a day of connection, movement, and fun.

Sunday Streets 2026 Season Schedule

Please note that full details, schedule and times are still TBA as of 5/12/2026.

  • June 14, 2026: Tenderloin
  • July 19, 2026: Mission
  • August 23, 2026: Bayview
  • October 18, 2026: Excelsior

Sunday Streets take place in diverse neighborhoods across the City, including the Tenderloin, Mission, Excelsior, and Bayview. Each event features fun free active play games, cultural performances, health resources, live music and more with the goal of connecting San Franciscans on car-free open streets.

On July 19, Sunday Streets returns to the sunny Mission district for a second round of car-free streets. Enjoy 1.5+ miles of open streets and car-free community space for you and your neighborhood to enjoy. Come check out Activity Hubs on 16th and 24th Streets for free fun, family-friendly activities offered by local nonprofits, community groups, and small businesses.

Taking place in multiple venues along Valencia Street, Livable City’s Livability Awards Brunch and Summit will honor leading livability and public health advocates with a VIP reception, cocktails and brunch, then segue into a free public program with panel discussions and lightning talks for all.

The 2020 Livability Summit is a unique opportunity to enjoy the rich neighborhood offerings of one of San Francisco’s most vibrant commercial areas while engaging in important conversations about the future of the city and beyond. Guests will get a window into Valencia’s transformation into Sunday Streets in real time!

Check out two Activity Hubs at 24th and 16th Streets and over a mile of live music, interactive art projects, resources and more — plus lots of open space for recreation and social connection. In partnership with Mission Housing (MHDC), a Pop-up Play Streets block in front of the Valencia Gardens complex brings sports games, bubbles, fun activities and more for residents and neighbors to come together.
