Make your very own cuddly Mars creature at a SpaceCraft Mini Plushie Workshop on Sunday, September 18 at the SF Library’s Ingleside Branch.

Learn how to hand-sew a space-themed mini felt astronaut, retro rocket ship, planet or alien at this all-levels workshop where you can craft a cute new friend as a gift (or just for yourself).

Materials, tips and tricks are provided, though keep in mind that space is limited to 15 participants, so make sure to call (415) 355-2898 in advance to reserve a spot.

About One City One Book 2011: (9/6 to 11/12) One City One Book is an annual literary event that encourages community members to read the same book and discuss it at events throughout the city.

Similar to a giant, citywide book club, this year’s program is focused on local author Mary Roach’s “Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void,” and will feature book readings, space-themed movie screenings and more, as well as open discussions all over the city through November 12th . Full Schedule of events
