“Dance-O-Ween” SF’s Epic Roving Costumed Dance Party 2025

🎃 DANCEOWEEN 2025 👻 It’s baaaacccckkkk… and this year, we’re bringing the disco slime. 🐌💫 Halloween night creeps closer, which can only mean one thing: everyone’s favorite spooky dance parade returns to the Mission! Join us for DANCEOWEEN—a night of mobile DJs, wild costumes, and spontaneous dance magic through the streets. We’ll glide like disco snails—slow, shiny, and unstoppable—leaving a glitter trail of joy, music, and mayhem behind us.

Please note, there has been no official announcement of the 2025 Dance-O-Ween. This event has grown organically over the years, reaching up to 5,000 revelers in 2024.

Unfortunately, according to SF Gate, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department threatened legal action at the end of night last year, and stated organizers would be ‘financially responsible for unfiled permits and fees related to additional park ranger staffing’. We’re not sure if anything came of that, but organizers have stated they don’t intend to monetize the event, and avenues to make the event “official” are cost-prohibitive. We’re unsure if this event will take place in 2025, or if it will fly under the radar and return as a smaller event. We expect that if it does return, it will be a smaller affair.

*Please note, this event has happened since 2013 as an unofficial (and unpermitted) event, so attend at your own risk of being disappointed. If you show up in a costume, ready to dance and have a good time, you probably will.
