Book Launch: Lewis Buzbee’s Autobiographical Novel “Growing Up in a Bay Area Military Family in the 1960s”

By turns tender, tragic and nostalgic, Diver—from the author of The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop—
might be seen as one of the many sequels to The Grapes of Wrath, but one that savors the details of growing up neither rich nor poor in the glow of the post-World War II Bay Area in a family headed by a Navy father who truly enjoys the company of his youngest son; especially on Saturday afternoons in his favorite local watering hole accompanied by a pack of Parliaments, a cold Olympia and a working juke box.
