Event Details

Outer Orbit is a brand new space age-looking restaurant and pinball arcade located in Mission-Bernal with novel concessions, local beer, fine wine and Hawaiian-inspired meals (including Spam dishes and Shave Ice). Plus they’ve got a beautiful retro vinyl jukebox stocked with oldies and current hits.

Pinball

The opening roster of nine games has a little bit of everything to please every skill and interest level. The full list of onsite games includes: Guardians of the Galaxy, Total Nuclear Annihilation, Monster Bash, Tron, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Fishtales, Theater of Magic, World Cup Soccer, and Zodiac. Games are subject to change based on customer demand and seasonality.

Food

For eats, Executive Chef Sam DeCamp, formerly of the Gibson and Finn Town Tavern, brings to Outer Orbit a craveable selection of snacks, bites and mains. Patrons can pair pins with bites from the menu of Hawaiian BBQ -inspired dishes evoking the playful feel of the islands.

Daily Menu

  • Musubi $4 – Spicy McFarland Trout, shiso-ume (vg), or house-made spam (with Duroc pork shoulder)
  • Lomi Lomi Guacamole $8 – Shio koji brined McFarland Trout, guacamole, house-made taro chips, with pineapple dust
  • Spam & Cheese Hot Pocket $5 – House-made spam, provolone cheese, in a pretzel-dough pocket
  • Karaage Wings $9 – Six Mary’s chicken wings fried ala karaage
  • Popcorn $3 – Hurricane-style (house furikake-blend) or buttered
  • Togarashi Tots $5 – Tater tots with spicy togarashi seasoning (vg)
  • Edamame $6 – Grilled edamame tossed with chili-garlic rayu (vg)

  • Hawaiian Nachos $7 – House taro chips topped with cheddar, guacamole, pickled jalapeno, tomatillo pineapple salsa, cilantro, and tomatoes. Add kalua pork or chicken +$3. Add lomi trout +$4 (v or vg available).
  • Mac Salad Croquette $6 – Wasabi, lime and kewpie Mayo
  • Hawaiian Po’Boy $13 – North Shore-style garlic shrimp, on a brioche bun, with remoulade, green garlic and onion slaw with a spicy-shoyu dipping sauce
  • Kalua Pig Melt $11 – Guava-smoked pork shoulder with wasabi-lime aioli, provolone, house-pickled shallots on toasted brioche dipped in au jus
  • Smoked Cali Wrap $11 – Gluten free wrap with smoked cauliflower, avocado, cucumber, tomato, little gem lettuce and wasabi lime aioli
  • Little Gem Salad $9 – Persian cucumbers, watermelon radish, citrus zest, miso-cured cream cheese, with charred green onion in a nori vinaigrette
  • Hawaiian Plate Lunch $17 – Choose two mains: guava-smoked lamb breast, kiawe-smoked cauliflower, guava-smoked kalua pig, or karaage fried chicken with a Hawaiian sweet roll, and two sides
  • Mini-Plate $12 – Same as Plate Lunch except one main and one side

  • Classic Loco Moco $13 – Ground chuck burger and fried rice with a sunny side up egg, mushroom gravy and chives
  • Surf n Turf Moco $15 – Grilled prawns, smoked lamb breast and fried rice with sunny side up egg, mushroom gravy
  • Vegi Loco $13 – Grilled Impossible Burger, and fried rice with a sunny side up egg and mushroom gravy with chives
  • Spam Beni $14 – Two poached eggs, grilled spam and baby spinach, on a Hawaiian rolls with hollandaise sauce, pickled pineapple, and crispy potatoes
  • Pancake $9 – Dutch style pancake with macadamia nuts, marinade pineapple, whipped cream and mint
  • “Aloha” Eggs $11 – Two Eggs any style, crispy potatoes, Hawaiian roll, side salad / Add Bacon or grilled Spam $3
  • Mazemen Ramen $12 – Brothless ramen with soft poached egg, green onions, pickled jalapenos, Portuguese sausage, baby bok choy and pickled mustard greens

Drinks

To drink there is a rotating curated list of beer and wine for adult gamers including an impressive 12 beers on tap and 15 in the bottle. The list favors sour selections, alongside easy food friendly sippers.

The opening list features brews from Blue Oak Brewing, Fieldwork, Bare Bottle, Far West Cider, Maui Brewing Co., Green Flash, Drakes, North Coast, Allegash, Sonoma Springs Brewing Co., Avery Brewing, Anderson Valley, and more. Rounding out the offerings are a handful of shochu and vermouth-based cocktails. For fans of the grape, a selective list of wines by the glass and bottle are also available.
