“Black Lives Matter” Horse Ride on Oakland’s Skyline Trail
Thanks to KPIX5 for letting us know about the Black Lives Matter Horse ride that was held along Oakland’s Skyline Trail on Saturday.
On June 20, hundreds of horse riders raised their fists, observed a moment of silence, and rode along the iconic Skyline Trail in Oakland in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
The mission dubbed “Heels Down, Fists Up” was organized by Brianna Noble, whose viral photo of her riding a horse down Broadway during a Black Lives Matter protest in Downtown Oakland gained international attention.

I am excited to see you all tomorrow for our first Heels Down Fists Up ride in Oakland! There has been such an overwhelming outpouring of support from our equine community.. I have no words 😭😍🤗… I apologize for our slow response time to messages, I’m wading through them as quickly as I can but we’re quite inundated!
