California’s 1st Drag Queen School Coming to SF

Thanks to KRON4 for sharing the news that San Francisco will soon be home to California’s first drag queen school.

San Francisco’s iconic LGBTQ+ bar The Stud is opening the The Stud School of Drag which will teach the fundamentals of drag performance. The school will offer weekly evening classes covering the history of drag, makeup 101, creating character through costuming, lip-synching, and marketing fundamentals. Courses will be taught by leading drag queen experts.

Serving as the inaugural headmistress will be Honey Mahogany, who also is the Chair of the San Francisco Democratic Party and was featured on the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Interested in attending The Stud School of Drag? Applications will open shortly after The Stud reopens in its new location at 1123 Folsom Street in SoMa. The school welcomes all genders, sexualities, and those aged 21+.
