Events at Omnivore Books On Food
Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
David began working in restaurants at the age of sixteen, until he ended up at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, working with Alice Waters and co-owner, Executive Pastry Chef Lindsey Shere, who he considers his mentor. He spent nearly thirteen years in the kitchens at Chez Panisse before leaving in 1999 to move to Paris.
