Join them in celebrating the opening of the DIS collective’s “Genre-Nonconforming: The DIS Edutainment Network’ with an opening day “Thinkspo” full of stimulating activities of all kinds: short talks by DIS, special screenings, and participatory activities including a tasting table with artist Sean Raspet.

The “Thinkspo” brings together leading artists and thinkers related to the channel, coming together with participatory activities IRL to inspire, inform, and mobilize around ideas raised by the project. Artist and entrepeneur Sean Raspet brings his new non/food meal replacement bars for demoing and tasting, Sean Monahan and Sophie Secaf will lead teens in a panel revealing shifting trends in youth behavior and attitudes, and members of DIS will speak about their shift from publishing online as a magazine to broadcasting online as a platform for edutainment.

  • 3-4:45 pm: The GenExit Report with Sean Monahan and Sophie Secaf (Piazzoni Murals Room)
  • 4-4:30 pm: Meet the artists: DIS Pop-up talk with Lauren Boyle and Marco Roso (Wilsey Court)
