Amidst a brutally polarizing debate marked by passion, suspicion, and confusion, Food Evolution, from Academy Award-nominated director Scott Hamilton Kennedy explores the controversy surrounding GMOs and food. Traveling from Hawaiian papaya groves to banana farms in Uganda to the cornfields of Iowa, the film, narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson, wrestles with the emotions and the science driving one of the most heated arguments of our time. In the GMO debate, both pro- and anti- camps claim science is on their side. Who’s right?

Free public screening of the most controversial contemporary movie on food and GM crops: Food Evolution. Stay for a different scientific view from an all-star scientist panel featuring:

Senior Writer, UC Davis: Belinda Martineau
Associate Professor of Environmental Science, Policy and Management, UC Berkeley: Ignacio Chapela
Research Consultant with Strategic Expansion & Trainings, LLC.: Doug Gurian-Sherman
Assistant Professor of International Studies, University of San Francisco: Brian Dowd-Uribe
