Events at Omnivore Books On Food
Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
Jack Bishop will present his cookbook, How Can it Be Gluten-Free Cookbook, from 3-4 pm at Omnivore Books on Food.
Successful gluten free recipes require more than just new ingredients. You need new techniques and that’s where Jack Bishop can help. Bishop is the editorial director of America’s Test Kitchen. He joined the staff of Cook’s Magazine in 1988 and helped with the launch of Cook’s Illustrated in 1993. He established the tasting protocols used in America’s Test Kitchen and has authored dozens of articles for the magazine.
