Everyone is invited to attend the spectacular 4th of July festivities in downtown Martinez. The day starts early with an 8 a.m. pancake breakfast sponsored by Roxx on Main at 627 Main Street, followed by a flag-raising ceremony at 9 a.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Building located at 930 Ward Street.

The 11th annual 4th of July Hometown Parade, sponsored by Main Street Martinez, starts at 10 a.m. and will showcase over 40 entries marching down Main Street from Court Street to Alhambra Avenue.

Later that day, fireworks will light up the night at Radke Martinez Shoreline Park. Join the crowd at the Waterfront or head over to your special viewing spot before 9:15 p.m.

Pyrotechnics begin around 9:30 p.m. and will last approximately twenty-five minutes. Waterfront Park will be closed to cars at 6 p.m. Limited Handicapped Parking is available, so arrive earlier in the day.
