Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.

The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.

For MFK Fisher, one of America’s most-read and best-loved food writers, wine was a passion nurtured during her time in France and, later, California.

MFK Fisher: Musings on Wine and Other Libations, an anthology edited by acclaimed biographer Anne Zimmerman (An Extravagant Hunger: The Passionate Years of M.F.K. Fisher), is the first ever to gather Fisher’s finest writings on wine.

The event is free and there will be a wine tasting to complement the talk.
