Explore the importance of play as it pertains to humans of all ages, from physical to psychological to social development and beyond.

This summer, Design Museum San Francisco’s UNITE panel discussion will address the multiple meanings that reside in the question: Why Play? Play is an integral part in the lives of children everywhere, but how does play impact development in both children and adults alike?

Join them for this interdisciplinary panel discussion that will uncover the many benefits of play in all of your lives. Their panel of experts include:

  • Jay Beckwith – Playground Designer
  • Missy Benson – Play Advocate, Playworld
  • Dr. Stuart Brown – Author & Founder, National Institute for Play
  • Moderator: Phil Ginsburg – General Manager, San Francisco Rec & Parks
