Alameda County Fair | 4501 Pleasanton Ave., Pleasanton, CA
The 2012 Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton runs from June 20th to July 8th, 2012, highlighted by the Fairs’ spectacular fireworks displays every Friday of the fair. Best viewing location is from the Grandstand area. Fireworks show to start at approximately 9:30pm.

About the Alameda County Fair: The fair features live pig (and horse) races, a circus, educational exhibits, carnival rides, a battle of the bands, a gumbo & BBQ making contest, a hypnotist and AgVenture park where you can experience things like an interactive Wild West-themed performance, petting zoo and more. For 2012 there will also be a free concert nightly at their 3,000 seat Amphitheater, but you can also enjoy the show from the amphitheater lawn, which now features a jumbo-tron screen.

* Fair Food Drive – June 27th bring just 4 non-perishable food items for FREE admission into the Fair. Food Drive to benefit Alameda County Food Bank.
* Military Appreciation Day – July 1st all those with a valid military I.D. receive FREE admission along with one guest. Veterans are welcome.
